The European Anthropological Association (EAA) is an academic  organization spanning Europe and beyond, dedicated to facilitate international networking of scholars who conduct research on humans as a biological species within the field of biological anthropology.

The mission of the EAA is to promote the progress and advancement of biological anthropology as a field of study.

To achieve this purpose, the EAA organizes biennial conferences, as well as workshops and seminars throughout the year, providing a platform for the exchange of ideas, research findings, and methodological innovations.

As an association, the EAA is committed to fostering interdisciplinary collaboration, exchange and dialogue among scholars, promoting excellence in research and teaching, promoting the ethical and responsible conduct of research, and advocating for the recognition and support of anthropology as an academic discipline and profession.

Founded in 1976, the EAA has been instrumental in enhancing international networks within the field of biological anthropology research and has established itself as a valuable resource for scholars, students, and the broader public.
